FAQ
Lloyd Mats Store is the official factory site where all Lloyd products for all makes and models can be purchased. The “Where to buy” section along with most product and vehicle pages of this website, provide links to Lloyd Mats Store, as well as a number of fine automotive accessory retailers that sell Lloyd Mats.
Any questions you may have regarding your order should be directed to the retailer where you plan to purchase or have purchased your mats.
Contact the retailer where you purchased your mats. They will look up your order and determine if the correct mats for your vehicle were ordered and shipped to you. They will respond to you regarding the problem.
No. Lloyd Mats makes it’s own custom patterns for each specific vehicle. They are designed to cover as much of the exposed flat area of the vehicle floor as possible. In general, Lloyd Mats tend to be larger than factory floor mats, to protect more floor area. It is possible that Lloyd’s mat shape in some circumstances looks very similar to the OEM factory mats, but they are not taken from any Original Equipment Manufacturer’s pattern.
All Lloyd Mat products are designed as “stand alone” floor mats and must not be placed on top of any other mats. Floor mat anchoring devices, either installed by vehicle manufacturers or provided by Lloyd, are designed to secure one layer of floor mat. Additional layers of mats may shift into a potentially unsafe position without anchoring. The correct fit of Lloyd Mats also is dependent on being placed directly on the vehicle floor.
Choosing a mat color is a matter of each customer’s preference. Lloyd Mats does not always have an exact color match to a vehicle’s carpeting. In selecting your mat color, Lloyd’s website is a good place to view all Lloyd mat textures and color options. Of course every computer monitor is different, so if a close color match is important to you, you will need to see sample mat color chips. The retailer where you plan to purchase your floor mats can send you a few sample mat color chips of your choice.
All of Lloyd’s carpet mat materials for LUXE, Ultimats, Berber2, Velourtex and Classic Loop mats are manufactured in the U.S., with the exception of some embroidery emblem designs. Final manufacturing of these carpet mats is performed in Lloyd’s U.S. factory.
Roll materials for Lloyd’s NorthRIDGE, Rubbertite and Protector Mats are imported, but final manufacturing of these mats is performed in Lloyd’s U.S. factory.
Lloyd’s semi-custom, Heavy Plush mats are an imported product line, with some of the final manufacturing on Heavy Plush products performed in Lloyd’s U.S. factory.
Yes. Each driver’s mat and some passenger mats will have a fastening system. For most vehicles, we are compatible with the fastening system installed by the vehicle manufacturer. When there is no factory installed mat fastening system, or it is not possible to use the vehicle’s factory fasteners, Lloyd Mats provides its own proprietary mat fastening system.
Yes. Lloyd can provide personalized mats in your choice of several lettering styles. Lloyd Mats is also licensed to manufacture mats containing the names or emblems of several automobile manufacturers. However, if Lloyd is not licensed by a specific automobile manufacturer, Lloyd cannot provide any word, model identification, or emblem that may infringe on that manufacturer’s trademarks.
Decorative designs of your creation require the submission of camera ready, actual size final artwork. The embroidery programming for such custom designs is expensive and not economically feasible to make just one set of such custom designed mats.
Contact the retailer where you purchased your mats. They will advise you on the procedure for filing a warranty claim.
